What Is ABM [Accountancy, Business and Management]?

The Accountancy,Business and Management is a Senior High School strand that will introduce you to the fundamentals of business, accounting, marketing and economics. They would focus on the basic concepts of financial management, business management, corporate operations and all things that are counted for. In short, those students who select this route will be prepared for colorful careers as managers, accountants and business owner.





The ABM strand married creativity, mathematical application, and business sense to prepare the best business professionals of tomorrow. These strand will equip them with necessary industry know-how and skills to perform well in their professions and run their businesses smoothly. This strand will help therm to maximize their business-mindedness and set them up for success.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE ABM STRAND

• You will gain valuable skills expected of their fields, such as basic accounting, financial management and commerce. •Exude the confidence in the accomplishment of their projects and assignments in their ABM strand courses which they can carry over once they dive into their future careers. • Engage in business stimulation and be exposed to the different types of decisions business managers face regularly.

Build up the confidence of Senior High School students when communicating their ideas, allowing them to have more faith in their concepts and ingenuity during their projects in their ABM courses. • Instills values of honesty and good business practice that are necessary for a field that deals with finances and business relations, while adopting a mindset that actively seeks solutions for any crisis that comes their way. • Hones their math skills for quick and transparent computations that will allow them to make sound business decisions and perform accounting duties with attention to detail and accuracy down the line when entering career.


ABM STRAND POSSIBLE CAREER PATHS


• Entrepreneurs - It is an individual who creates a new business, bearing most of the risks and enjoying most of the rewards. It is commonly seen as an innovator, a source of new ideas, goods, services and business/or procedures. The process of setting up a business is known as entrepreneurship.

• Advertising Professionals - They develop and coordinate advertising strategies and campaigns, determine the market for new goods and services, and identify and develop market opportunities for new and existing goods and services.

• Marketing or Sale Representatives - They are both professionals but have a biggest difference. Marketing target the customers who may be interested in buying a product or services, while sales representative make the transaction and sell the product or service.

• Accountants - It is a practitioner of accounting or accountancy. They make sure that a company or organization is efficiently operating by accessing their financial records. They have a duties that include analyzing a data, finance reports, budget, tax returns, and accounting records. They also send financial reports to their clients that include current financial status and future trends.

• Account Managers - It is generally the business representative with whom the client has the most one-on-one interaction. They serve as the link between their employer and the specific accounts (customers) they've been assigned to handle.

• Bank Tellers - It is an employee of a bank who deals directly with customers. In some places, this employee is known as a cashier or customer representative.

• Restaurateurs - This are people who owns and manages a restaurant.

• Corporate Managers - It is a business professional who overseas an organization's general operations. They can work variety of industries including finance, marketing, manufacturing or technology. They are also part of the executive team, and they help design and implement business strategies.

• Retail Managers - It has a role to run a store successfully. They are responsible for ensuring their staff give great customer service as well as monitoring the financial performance on the store.

• Financial Advisers - It is a professional who provides financial services to clients based on their financial situation. They must complete specific training and be registered with a regulatory body in order to provide advice.

• Economists - It is a professional and practitioner in the social science discipline of economics. The individual may also study, develop, and apply theories and concepts from economics and write about economic policy




It is our goal to challenge our students through their ABM strand to be articulate, have strong analytical skills and build teamwork to become successful business managers or owners in the future. It is the perfect combination of practical skills and application, as well as shaping Senior High School students to adopt the right mindset for crisis management and problem solving on the job and behind their business. This strand will suit to those student or people who want money to handle.
